Capstone Turbine Corporation ( (Nasdaq:CPST), the world's leading clean technology manufacturer of microturbine energy systems, recently received two orders for a total of 25 C65 microturbines that will be installed in California.

Capstone Southern California distributor Regatta Solutions secured the two orders with 3 Phases Renewables, an Energy Service Provider certified by the California Public Utilities Commission. 3 Phases Renewables will install and commission the microturbines for two large California companies, then sell them the reliable, cost efficient electricity produced by the clean-and-green systems.

One project will use 20 Capstone CARB-certified High BTU waste gas C65 microturbines; the other project will utilize five of the same model C65s.

"Capstone microturbines produce ultra-low emissions that meet or exceed stringent emissions regulations established by the California Air Resources Board (CARB)," said Steve Acevedo, Regatta Solutions President and CEO.

"California's emissions regulations are among the strictest in the world," said Jim Crouse, Capstone's Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "Capstone already has 30, 65 and 200-kilowatt clean-and-green microturbines certified to CARB and EPA stationary emission standards, and we continue to focus on these certifications to provide customers with the most environmentally friendly products possible."

Eric Hulin, Sales and Marketing Manager of 3 Phases Renewables, added, "We're pleased to secure the orders with Regatta Solutions. The Capstone microturbines will allow us to provide our customers with an on-site generation solution that produces clean and efficient energy at a highly competitive rate."
