Brazilian President denies rumors of executive switch at Petrobras

Source: Petrobras

The president of Brazil, Dilma Rousseff, denied, in Brasília, rumors published by the press that the CEO of Petrobras (NYSE:PBR), José Sergio Gabrielli de Azevedo, would be substituted by the CEO of BNDES, Luciano Coutinho. Rousseff confirmed Gabrielli will remain at the helm of Petrobras.

"There is no possibility (of such substitution), because Coutinho is very good at what he does, and so is Gabrielli. I sometimes ask myself who stands to gain from news such as this,” said the president.
