BG&E taps Elster to supply residential, commercial meters for AMI deployment

Elster announced that the company has entered into a new multi-frame agreement with Baltimore Gas & Electric (BG&E) to supply both residential and commercial gas diaphragm meters.

Shipments of AC-250, AL-425, AL-630 and AL-800 model meters have commenced and are expected to be utilized in BG&E’s advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) deployment.

"We are pleased to have expanded our business with an important customer and we look forward to working with BG&E in the future," said Roy Sutterfield, president of Elster Gas, North America. 

Elster has one of the most extensive installed revenue measurement bases in the world, with more than 200 million metering devices deployed over the last 10 years. The company sells its products and services in more than 130 countries across electricity, gas, water and multi-utility applications for residential, commercial and industrial, and transmission and distribution applications.
