CleanEdison announced the successful launch of their new Geothermal Training Courses helping the national push towards dependable renewable resources.
Our Accredited Geothermal Installer Certification and our Accredited Driller Workshop are lead by experienced trainers, certified by the International Ground Source Heat Pump Association (IGSHPA). These courses enable trainees to enter the clean energy market by teaching both the fundamental theory and the practice of designing and installing ground source heat pump systems.
Geothermal systems are an increasingly popular way to provide energy to homes and other buildings thanks to their consistent energy output over seasons, their extremely low maintenance requirements, and an affordable upfront cost due to multiple incentives provided by federal and local programs. Geothermal energy, while less flashy than wind or solar, is a reliable source of energy regardless of weather or season.
The Accredited Geothermal Installer Certification Course is set up to accommodate students of all experience levels. It consists of three comprehensive training days focused on the installation of geothermal heating and cooling systems, followed by an open book exam.
The Accredited Driller Workshop covers proper construction and completion methods for vertical GeoExchange boreholes. Currently, drilling contractors searching for industry training on GeoExchange heat pumps must attend a full Accredited Installer course. Because certain topics covered within the Accredited Installer course do not pertain to drilling contractors, IGSHPA has formed this training course to provide drilling contractors with information that's specific to drillers.
