AGG Aviation, a subsidiary of AGG International, has launched the operation of their Beech 1900C Medevac Service between Basra and the new Al Seef Hospital in Kuwait. This much-needed Medevac service will provide the Oil & Gas companies operating in Iraq the emergency 30-minute direct flights in and out of Basra they necessitate - eliminating the lengthy and sometimes dangerous land crossing currently used in emergencies.
AGG’s service links a fully equipped Medevac fixed wing aircraft with the capabilities to have three critical patients looked after by trauma specialists and with the full telemetry for direct communication with specialist doctors at the five-star Al Seef Hospital
AGG’s experience and in-depth knowledge of business practice and procedure in the Middle East is proven, allowing them to set up this innovative program with local links and partnerships.
“International Oil Companies and a range of Service Companies are now operating in Southern Iraq,” AGG Aviation’s Chief of Security, Phillip Forsyth said. “They face obvious security concerns for their personnel, especially at times of emergencies, in an area which is still subject to conflict."
"We provide a reactive Medevac service operating 24 hours per day, this service is manned by trauma specialists who are very experienced in the types of injuries associated with oil field services," he continued. "Iraq brings a wealth of opportunity but following years of sanctions and conflict lacks essential infrastructure, some of which is vital to achieve the highest possible industry standards. AGG have reached out and will continue to expand this Medevac service to meet the requirements the energy industry depends on.”
The service is available from Mid October 2010.
