Soco International (LON:SIA) revealed that preparations for testing of the Te Giac Den appraisal well, TGD-2X, on Block 16-1 in the Cuu Long Basin offshore Vietnam, have been extended for approximately two weeks.

Pressure control packers and seals downhole have been impacted by the high temperatures in the well requiring changes to the original program and modifications to equipment to ensure a safe operation.

Further to the announcement on July 20, 2010, Soco has today completed the disposal of its wholly owned subsidiary Soco Thailand LLC to Salamander Energy plc.
