Neste Oil's Porvoo refinery on-stream after scheduled maintenance

Source: Neste Oil

Production at Neste Oil's Porvoo refinery in Finland has started after planned maintenance shutdown, which took around six weeks in total. Regular maintenance turnarounds every four to six years play an important part in keeping operations at Neste Oil's refineries safe and running at peak efficiency.

The turnaround was the largest in the refinery's history. It involved close to a million man-hours of work and employed some 2,500 people from outside contractors on site.

During the major turnaround Neste Oil sold products from its storages.
