Vestas to deliver 49 MW wind energy to Guangdong province

Vestas (VWDRY) said it received an order from a Chinese customer for a total of 49 MW of wind energy, comprising 58 units of Vestas’ V52-850 kW turbine. The order is for a project in the Guangdong province. At the customer’s request, further details about the project’s ownership cannot be disclosed.

The contract includes supply and commissioning of the wind turbines, a VestasOnline Business SCADA system and a two-year service and maintenance agreement. Delivery of the turbines is planned to take place during the third quarter of 2010.
