CDTech wins gasoline desulfurization contract for Russian refinery

Source: CDTech

CDTech has been awarded a contract by TAIF-NK OAO for the license and basic engineering of an FCC gasoline treatment unit, as part of an upgrade at its refinery in Nizhnekamsk in the Russian Federation. The FCC gasoline treatment unit reduces the sulfur content in gasoline to meet clean fuel regulations.

TAIF-NK was the first of the 28 refineries in Russia able to meet the Federation’s technical regulations, including Euro-4 requirements, with 100% of its motor fuels. This additional unit, which utilizes CDTech’s CDHydro® technology, will enable TAIF-NK to work towards meeting Euro-5 requirements.

CDTech’s CDHydro technology, which combines the reactor and distillation process into one piece of equipment, is a strategic fit with TAIF-NK’s staged approach for gasoline desulfurization.
