Tower Resources spuds Avivi-1 in Uganda

Tower Resources plc (TRP) spud the Avivi-1 exploration well at Block EA5 onshore Uganda.

The Avivi-1 well is being drilled to an estimated depth of 853 meters, and operations are expected to take two to three weeks.

Block EA5 in Uganda covers an area of approximately 6,000 square kilometers. The area is onshore covering the northern part of the Albertine Graben, part of the East African Rift Valley, located in the northwest of Uganda. EA5 is called the Rhino Camp
The Avivi-1 exploration well is located 3 kilometers west of Rhino Camp. At this location, the prospective interval is below 665 meters and projected basement is at 795 meters. The presence of well developed fluvial sandstone reservoirs is likely, and Rhino Camp is where the strongest oil micro seeps were encountered.
