Shah-01 discovers natural gas, condensate onshore Pakistan

Natural gas and condensate have been discovered at the Tando Allah Yar Block in the Hyderabad district of the Sindh Province of Pakistan.

Shah-01 was drilled to a total depth of 3,227 meters, targeting the Sand formation. Hydrocarbons were transected in the drilling, with the zone testing 15.4 million cubic feet of natural gas per day and 165 barrels per day of condensate on a 32/64-inch choke.

Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) is the operator of the Tando Allah Yar Block with 95 percent interest. Government Holdings (Pvt.) Limited has a 5 percent carried interest.
