Renewable Energy Generation, Ltd. nabs 6 Vestas wind turbines

2 February 2010 - Renewable Energy Generation Limited (REG) purchased six Vestas V80 2MW machines for its consented site at Goonhilly Downs in Cornwall. The turbines are scheduled to be delivered to the site in July and the project is expected to be operational by late summer 2010. The repowered wind farm is expected to produce approximately 30GWh of output per annum.

The purchase is intended to contribute to the replacement of fourteen turbines that were installed by REG in 1994.
