PECO crews making progress on outages

11 February 2010 - PECO crews have restored power to more than 160,000 customers since the latest winter storm hit the region yesterday. Crews have been working around-the-clock, often in hazardous conditions, to restore customers throughout the service territory.

More than 800 employees at a time, working 12 to 16 hour shifts have been focused on preparing for and responding to outages. The company's entire Emergency Response Organization, including field and back office personnel, will work until service is restored to all customers.

As of 3 p.m., Thursday, less than 40,000 customers remained without power.
