Digital power technology patent license agreement reached between Lineage Power and Power-One

22 February 2010 - Lineage Power Corporation and Power-One said that they have executed a non-exclusive, worldwide Field-of-Use agreement for Power-One’s digital power technology (DPT) patents. The agreement expands the market for Lineage Power’s line of DC-DC point-of-load (POL) converters with the new digital DLynx Series.

Lineage Power will leverage the new license agreement in the digital DLynx family of 3A to 40A POLs compliant with the Power Management Bus (PMBus) communications protocol. The standards-based approach provides original equipment manufacturers (OEM) and design engineers with modular packages for custom designs that reduce risk and accelerate development schedules.

Digital power is designed to provide access to critical load information including current and voltage, enabling the system to monitor the power consumption at the processor or load.
