Zampini appointed chairman of Ansaldo Energia

Giuseppe Zampini has been appointed chairman of Italy’s Ansaldo Energia as the company completes its reorganisation process.
The General Meeting and Board of Directors appointed Zampini as Chairman and Filippo Abba will replace him as CEO, a position he held for 16 years.

Zampini replaces Umberto della Sala, who will continue to be a member of the Board of Directors.

The meeting also saw the board assign several strategic responsibilities to Zampini.

In a statement the company said these appointments complete the reorganisation process, which has undergone a series of significant changes to its operating and management structure over the past year, with a view to better alignment with the more international profile the company now has.
