EON names new finance chief

German energy group E.ON has appointed Marc Spieker as its Chief Financial Officer.

He will join the E.ON board on January 1 and take over from current CFO Michael Sen on April 1.

Spieker has been with E.ON for almost 15 years in various roles in finance and investor relations.

Most recently, he was in charge of the One2Two project as part of the realignment of the E.ON Group, which was completed with the Uniper spin-off.

Supervisory Board Chairman Karl-Ludwig Kley said that under Spieker’s leadership “a number of important group projects were successfully implemented. He played a key role in the strategic repositioning of the company. His extensive experience makes him an excellent choice for the role of CFO and a great asset for the board.”
