EDF appoints Atkins for coal, gas and renewable expertise

UK consultants Atkins has been appointed by EDF Energy to its Technical Support Alliance Agreement covering its coal, gas and renewable assets in Britain.

Atkins joins the alliance after already working with EDF Energy on its UK nuclear fleet.

The alliance framework encompasses all conventional and renewable generating assets. 

David Few, market leader for conventional power in Atkins’ Energy UK & Europe business, said: “We’ve drawn on a wide range of experience from across the business to secure this appointment with EDF Energy. It was crucial to demonstrate the depth of Atkins’ engineering capabilities, innovation and technical excellence, and we’re looking forward to continuing our partnership with EDF Energy.”
