Energy consultancy TNEI opens South Africa office

UK energy consultancy TNEI has opened its first international office in South Africa.

The new office in Cape Town will provide a hub from which TNEI can offer its power systems and renewables consultancy ex TNEI managing director Rachel Hodges pertise. It is headed by Kumbuyani Chisoro, an electrical engineer with 15 years’ experience of working in the power industry in Ireland and South Africa.

TNEI managing director Rachel Hodges (pictured) said the new office “shows our commitment to working more internationally and opens up opportunities both in South Africa and in other areas of Southern Africa”.

TNEI has already worked on several projects in Africa, including feasibility, design and optimisation for renewable energy projects, as well as dynamics studies and compliance reviews.

It also carried out an electricity sector review of the Southern African Power Pool region to help its clients make investment decisions.
