Deutsche Windtechnik opens French wind turbine base

German wind turbine maintenance company Deutsche Windtechnik has established a business unit in France on the back on winning a raft of contracts for French windfarms.

The Bremen-headquart Deutsche Windtechnik opens French wind turbine base ered company has clinched contracts for a total of 35 Nordex, Senvion and Fuhrländer turbines across five windfarms.

The new French business unit is located in Reims in northeast France and is headed by Mohamed Metahri.

France is seeing an increasing number of windpower opportunities. Björn Mummenthey, director of project developer EuroCape New Energy, said: "France is one of the most stable and institutionally developed markets for wind power in Europe.”
