German media are reporting that the head of the utility’s national operations is set to be replaced in the coming days.

Arndt Neuhaus, the head of RWE's German division RWE Deutschland will leave the group amid a structural overhaul that RWE is undergoing in response to low wholesale energy prices, an unnamed source told Reuters.

The chief executive of RWE's newly combined renewables, networks and retail operations has yet to be appointed, and German newspaper Handelsblatt, which earlier reported the departure of Neuhaus, said that RWE CEO Peter Terium would now seek to become interim head of the new entity on top of his role as group CEO, although the company has not yet commented.
