Brazil's Tractebel to sell 63 MW of renewable power projects

Brazilian utility Tractebel Energia is mulling the sale of its stakes in special-purpose companies responsible for 63.4 MW of wind and small hydro capacity.

The firm said it is seeking to optimize its power asset portfolio and to focus on assets that offer greater synergies.

The three projects that could be sold reportedly include two wind farms and a small hydropower plant.

The closing of the transaction will depend on the achievement of favorable terms of sale by the company and authorities related to the issue, the firm said.
