Acciona receives €48m electricity contract in Spain

Acciona Green Energy Developments has received a €48m contract to supply electricity to Sociedad Estatal Aguas de las Cuencas Mediterráneas (Acuamed).

Acciona will supply approximately 671GWh of renewable electricity to facilities managed by Acuamed in 2016, including desalination plants in Almería, Alicante, Águilas and Valdelentisco; the potable water plant at Albacete; and the Júcar-Vinalopó water transfer station.

The company has also secured a deal with Compañía Logística de Hidrocarburos (CLH) to supply electricity in 2016.

The contract will see supply of around 252GWh to 285 points along the group's entire distribution network in Spain, which include transport and storage facilities, offices and other premises.
