$430m secured for Turkish gas-fired plant modernisation

The Hamitabat gas-fired power plant in Turkey is to be modernised, thanks to a $430m project finance loan.

Owners Limak confirmed the deal from banks, which will form part of the funding for a $520m total investment in the 1200 MW natural gas plant.

In a statement ahead of a signing ceremony in Ankara, it named the banks involved in the loan as UniCredit, Yapi Kredi, ING, KFW IPEX and DZ Bank.
