METKA turnover rises to $577m

Greek EPC company METKA has posted a turnover of €468.3m ($577m) for the first nine months of this year, up on the €405.4m from the same period in 2013. METKA

The company said it remains “on a positive course” after earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation rose to €78.3m, a rise of 21.8 per cent from the €64.3m in the first nine months of 2013.

As well as projects in Turkey, Algeria and Pakistan, METKA has delivered power plants in Iraq, Jordan and Syria, where it said it had dealt “effectively with the environment of instability in the Middle East markets”.

In a statement accompanying its results, the Athens-headquartered company said that in the immediate future it would “focus on entering new markets with increased energy demands”.
