EY includes Brazil among top 10 countries for renewables investment

21 July 2014 -- In its recently-issued Global Renewable Energy Attractiveness Index, consultancy EY included Brazil among the top 10 countries to invest in such projects.

According to the report, the US is the country with the best conditions for investing in renewable energy, followed by China, Germany, Japan and Canada.

Brazil has moved up two places in the rankings since the previous report, mainly because of its increasing development in solar and wind power.

Other Latin American countries considered good renewables investment prospects are Chile (ranked 13th), Mexico (25th) and Peru (26th).
