ISA to invest heavily in power transmission across the region

Colombian state-controlled transmission group ISA has identified a total of $2.22bn of potential electricity transmission projects for this year in Colombia, Peru and Chile.

Over the next seven years ISA plans to invest approximately $3.23bn in existing and awarded energy projects, as well as road and telecoms projects in Colombia, Peru, Brazil and Chile.

An estimated 29 per cent will be in Chile, 29 per cent in Brazil, 22 per cent in Peru and 20 per cent in Colombia, with 93 per cent of the amount to be spent on energy projects.
