RWE announces further cuts in green investment

The chief executive of Germany’s largest power producer says RWE has decided to further reduce its investment in renewable energy.

RWE Innogy will now invest even less than the $686.3m it had most recently proposed, CEO Hans Buenting said at a press conference on Wednesday.

The board is set to issue its new investment plans along with a balance sheet presentation in early March, Mr. Buenting added.

RWE (FWB: RWE) is due to report full-year results on March 4th next.
