Iberdrola commences new phase at Galician hydropower plant

The San Pedro hydroelectric power plant in Galicia, Spain is to be extended by 25 MW to increase the capacity to 57 MW in total.

Iberdrola (BMAD: IBE) has begun the main construction phase at the plant extension project, located in the river Sil, in the municipality of Nogueira de Ramuín (Ourense).


The company will invest $67m to deliver the new power house that will be partially located underground.
