Alstom wins Albanian hydropower project

Alstom will supply turbine equipment for the Devoll river hydropower project in Albania after being awarded a EUR100m project from Statkraft.

The contract involves the delivery of six Francis turbines and auxiliaries to Statkraft subsidiary Devoll Hydropower as well as inclusion of two high voltage substations of 220kV and 110kV plus hydraulic steelworks such as gates, penstock, stop logs and trashracks.

The Devoll hydropower project is currently the first large-scale public-private-partnership investment in Albania.
