$1.5bn in power plant projects under development in Mexico

The Mexican Energy Agency is building $1.5bn in new power plants.

Eight new plants, the biggest of which is a $440m, 642 MW combined cycle gas power plant in central Mexico.

The Federal Electricity Commission, or CFE, said the new plants will boost the national grid to the tune of 1749 MW.
