$414m gas-fired power plant for Tanzania

Sumitomo is to build a $414m 240 MW gas-fired power plant near Dar es Salaam in Tanzania.

The Japanese-based company secured finance for the project from Japan Bank for International Cooperation, Nippon Export and Investment Insurance and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation.
