Solarstrom to build capacity in Spain

SAG Solarstrom AG (SAG), plans to build 440 MW of solar generation capacity in Spain’s Extremadura region.

The German renewables developer agreed with Valsolar 2006 SL and Cavalum SGPS SA to develop a 165-megawatt project in the Bienvenida district and three smaller plants in Calzadilla de la Serena, it said today in a statement.

Construction may start in the second half of 2013.
