500 MW gas power plant announced for Japan

Hokkaido Electric is to start a 500 MW gas fired power plant in Japan in 2019.

The plant will take gas from the new Ishikari LNG terminal, and Platts report that Hokkaido Gas will receive its first commissioning cargo at the Ishikari LNG terminal in northern Japan next month from Sakhalin in Russia.
