Brazilian infrastructure group Queiroz Galvao has commissioned Alstom (Euronext: ALO) to supply $347m worth of wind turbines for two wind power projects in northeast Brazil.
Alstom will provide ECO 122 2.7MW turbines as well as operation and maintenance for 10 years.
Alstom recently announced that it will supply 68 ECO 122 turbines to Casa dos Ventos in Rio Grande do Norte state, and that it would build a second factory in Brazil, reports Recharge News.
“We strongly believe the Brazilian and Latin American electricity market will continue to grow in the forthcoming years,” says Marcos Costa, Alstom Brazil president.
