El Salvador to co-develop wave energy

El Esplendor and Israel’s SDE Wave Power Plants have signed an agreement to develop wave energy in El Salvador, based on technology developed by the Israeli firm.

The agreement includes the design and construction of two wave energy plants.

One will be located near a surf resort close to Punta Mango and will have a 1 MW capacity, while the other, with a 10 MW capacity, will supply electricity to the La Libertad tourist complex.
