Swisspower purchases German wind farm

Swisspower renewables has completed a deal with Windreich for the sale of 16.1 MW of Hof wind farm in southern Germany.

The purchase from the German wind park operator is located in Bavaria.

The Hof windfarm is the largest in Bavaria and consists of eight Enercon E-82 wind turbines, each with a capacity of 2.3MW, reports Energy Business Review.

Swisspower will own seven wind power units while Windreich will continue to operate the Hof wind farm.

In April, Daimler purchased the first of the eight wind turbines.
