Gamesa, has just signed a deal to supply 48 MW of capacity of its G87-2.0 MW Class S wind turbine to Huadian Group.

It will be deployed by the Chinese group for a wind farm they built in Liyushan of Fujian Province.

Reve reports that G87-2.0 MW Class S wind turbine includes design improvements to be able to be installed in close to Class I condition sites, increasing energy production compared to the former G80-2.0 MW Class I by more than 8 per cent.

Gamesa, which has a long term partnership with Huadian, has operated in China since 2000, installing close to 3,000 turbines at more than 60 sites across the country.

The company’s joint development pipeline in China now totals around 3,000 MW.
