French government green lights 200 solar projects

The French energy department has approved over 200 solar projects, totaling 541 MW in generation capacity.

Up until now the largest solar plant in France was capable of 67 MW, but the new government is expected to be more favourable to renewable projects than the previous administration.

Clean Technica says 75 per cent of France’s current electricity is met by nuclear power.
