Four gas plants acquired by UK Power Reserve

UK Power Reserve Ltd has completion the acquisition of a portfolio of four gas fired network connected electricity generation sites.

The District Energy portfolio, which also includes sites in Newport and Aberdare in Wales, and Sevington in Kent, has been sold by EDF Energy (Euronext: EDF).

The four sites have been operational since 2001/02 and were originally developed by British Energy. EDF Energy (Energy Branch) acquired the sites, each of which has a 10 MW electrical output, in 2009.
