Alstom in $122m Saudi steam genset deal

Alstom Thermal Power has won a contract worth more than $122m to supply generator sets to a new gas fired power plant in Saudi Arabia.

The Riyadh PP12 plant is being built 100 km west of the Saudi capital and will have a net output of 2175 MW when it is completed in 2015.

In what is Alstom’s first steam tail offering for the Saudi Arabian market, the company will supply two 342 MW steam turbine generator sets and eight heat recovery steam generators.
