RWE vows to expand wind power capacity further

German utility RWE AG (RWE.XE) has emphasised that it will continue to expand its renewable power capacities, with particular attention on building its offshore and onshore wind farm portfolio.

Fox Business reports that Peter Terium, who will replace Chief Executive Juergen Grossmann at the helm of Germany's second-largest utility by market value in July, added that RWE is preparing to expand into photovoltaic solar energy in sun-rich regions of southern Europe and North Africa.
