Russian utility to invest in Bavarian gas plants

OAO Gazprom wants to invest in gas fired power plants in Bavaria, Germany as part of a plan to expand in the German energy market.

Sueddeutsche Zeitung reports that the Russian gas company, which wants to take majority stakes in new energy projects in the German regional state, met representatives of utilities EON AG, Erdgas Schwaben GmbH and the Bavarian Economy Ministry in Munich at the end of February.
