Bolognesi buys controlling stake in MultinerEnergia

Bolognesi, a Brazilian diversified holding company, has taken a 55 per cent stake in local power generation company MultinerEnergia.

The Fundo de Investimentos em Participacoes investment fund will retain the remaining share in the company.

The value of the deal was not disclosed.

MultinerEnergia will receive investments of 566.5m, according to Ronaldo Bolognesi, owner of the Bolognesi group.

MultinerEnergia has concessions to build and operate approximately 1305 MW of thermoelectric power plants and wind farms.

Bolognesi has a portfolio that represents more than 1 GW, comprising 600 MW of small-scale hydro and 420 MW of thermoelectric power, of which 400 MW are in operation.
