$504m US HEP project on schedule

The US City of Hamilton, Ohio in partnership with American Municipal Power (AMP) has announced that construction on the $504m 105 MW Meldahl Dam hydroelectric power plant is on schedule, with 25 per cent of the project already completed.

Energy Business Review reports that a new transmission line will connect the hydroelectric facility to the existing 345kV Zimmer-Spurlock transmission line in Ohio.

"Once completed, the three turbine units will go on line about 60 days apart, in 2014," said City of Hamilton site representative Tom Leibham.
