Skanska to build one of Chile's largest wind farms

Skanska Latin America has signed a contract for a confidential client, to build a wind farm in Chile for $76 M.

The construction contract will be included in the bookings for Skanska LA in the first quarter of 2012.

The wind power project will consist of 50 wind turbines with an installed capacity of 115 MW. Once completed, it will be one of the largest wind energy plants in the country.

Works have already commenced and the project is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2013.
