Softbank and Sharp to build Japanese solar power plant

A unit of Softbank Corp. (9984) will build a solar power plant in Japan’s central Gunma prefecture, according to a faxed statement from the company.

Sharp Corp. will build the 2.4-MW plant, and Softbank plans to begin operations in July, the statement said.
