Ministry of Energy gives its support to Russia Power 2012

The Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation has once again lent its support to the upcoming Russia Power Conference & Exhibition, which takes place 5-7 March 2012 in Moscow.

Representatives of the Ministry of Energy are expected to participate in the Keynote session on Tuesday, 6 March 2012, with experts from leading power companies JSC Inter RAO UES and JSC RusHydro also expected to take part.

The Keynote speakers will share their vision on the current state of the power industry in Russia, assess the long term prospects and discuss the key challenges facing the industry, as well as the measures which need to be made to overcome these challenges.

“I am confident that the panel and session discussions by conference participants on investment attractiveness and technological developments will determine the main future directions of [Russia’s] power sector,” said Sergey Shmatko, Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation.

The Russia Power conference programme has been carefully designed to cover the key issues, both technical and strategic, facing the Russian power sector.

This year marks the tenth anniversary of Russia Power, which has become an important fixture in the power industry’s calendar.
