Keynote speakers confirmed for POWER-GEN Europe 2012 event

Some of the most influential figures in the European power sector are to address crucial topics regarding policies, the green agenda and security and sustainability of supply at POWER-GEN Europe 2012 in Cologne, Germany in June.

The three speakers to address the Continent’s leading conference and exhibition for the power industryare Philip Lowe, Director General, European Commission,Belgium, Michael Süß, Chief Executive Officer, Siemens EnergySector (FWBSIE, NYSESI),Germany, and Bernhard Fischer, Chief Executive Officer, E.ONEnergie,Germany.

Head of the Commission’s Directorate-General for Energy, Philip Lowe is to discuss the challenges of helping member states achieve sustainable and secure energy supplies for the future.

Dr. Michael Süß will provide delegates with an in-depth overview of how industry and regulatory trends are influencing development of power technology, as well as providing his perspective on the direction of future developments.

Meanwhile CEO of E.ON Energie inGermany, Bernhard Fischer is ideally placed to analyse how local and EU directives influence power suppliers and what this means for both end users and businesses involved in the power supply chain.
