E.ON secures $122m financing for US wind farm

E.ON (FWB:EOAN) Climate & Renewables North America (EC&RNA) has secured $122.2m of institutional equity financing for its recently completed Settlers Trail wind farm in the US state of Illinois.

The financing has been obtained from JPM Capital and Wells Fargo Wind Holdings in exchange for a partial interest in the wind farm.

The project located in Iroquois County consists of 94 units of GE 1.6 MW turbines and the facility generates around 150 MW of power, enough to provide clean power to more than 45000 households in the central Illinois region using North American made turbines, blades and towers.
