E.ON’s customers to benefit from Convergys 'smart' billing solutions

Convergys Corporation (NYSE: CVG) has signed a group-wide framework agreement with E.ON IT GmbH, which will enable German utility giant E.ON to leverage the full portfolio of Convergys billing solutions, driving an enhanced customer experience.

Over the last two years, Convergys has worked closely with three E.ON affiliates to conduct a series of pilots to test its capability to deliver sophisticated rating and billing functionality related, but not limited to smart metering.

The success of these pilots has culminated in the signing of a new global framework agreement, says Convergys in a company release.

“We look forward to broadening our relationship with Convergys, so we can replicate the success of the pilots on a group-wide scale,” said Edgar Aschenbrenner, chief information officer of E.ON AG and chairman of E.ON IT’s Management Board.

E.ON IT GmbH manages all IT matters for the E.ON Group and has over 2700 employees.

According to Eran Ofir, general manager, Global Utilities, Convergys Smart Revenue Solutions: “Convergys’ solutions will help E.ON IT to make the most of the company’s current back office infrastructure investment by expanding their system capabilities to solve business needs brought on by changing business conditions and growing customer requirements.”
